Celebrating God's Word

For centuries, generations of faithful men and women lovingly copied each verse of Scripture by hand in order to preserve the message of Christ.

We want to praise God for His Word and for 200 years of Bible Society work throughout Ireland.

We are planning an exciting project so that everyone can celebrate Scripture by joining together to write a few verses.

Churches, schools, groups and individuals are being invited to get involved. Our aim is to create at least one complete Handwritten Bible in English, a New Testament in Irish and the book of Psalms in other languages. Each book will be made up of verses copies by thousands, even tens of thousands of people.

Will you join with us?

We will provide the resources (paper, pens etc) if you will encourage people to participate.

We hope that people of all ages and backgrounds will more readily appreciate the special gift that is ours in the Scriptures.
