BRINGING |
"Your word is a lamp
that gives light wherever I walk" |
||
The
Society supplies Bibles, Testaments and Gospels in books, audio
and
in electronic form to bookshops, schools, churches and individuals all
over the country. All these are supplied from the Societys bookshop,
Bestseller, in Dawson Street, Dublin which also sells a full range
of
Christian books, pastoral and spiritual - academic and liturgical - as
well as the widest range of Bibles in Ireland, including Scriptures
in
many languages. |

THE |
"Day after day they
studied the Scriptures to see if these things were true". Acts
17:11 CEV |
||
In
Ireland the Society raises money to fund translation, production and
distribution
of Gods Word in other countries. There are over 6,500 languages
in the world but in nearly three-quarters of these languages there is
no Bible translation. The Bible Society believes that every one should
have easy access to the Holy Scriptures in their own heart language.
It
is our task to bring the Scriptures to all people everywhere. You can
help us to help others. |

TO YOU |
"We
all hear them using our own languages to tell the wonderful things
God has done". Acts 1:11b
CEV |
||
Your
support is needed to develop our work in Ireland. We need even more help to fund the vital translation and distribution networks that will bring the Bible to everyone, to every place where people live. This is made possible by working together in the world-wide fellowship of the United Bible Societies. We seek your help to bring the Holy Scriptures to the furthest ends of the earth. The National Bible Society of Ireland is interconfessional, working with all Christian Churches. This is reflected in our Membership, National Board and staff. |
